The OUSSG hosts a dinner for the Speaker before each week's meeting. These dinners take place in the Red Room of New College, commencing with drinks served at 6.45pm. The price includes a three course waiter-served meal, with wine and sherry. Dinner costs £14 for students and £20 for non-students.

Members may dine with the Speaker by emailing the Vice-President before the Sunday immediately preceeding the seminar. Space is limited and is allocated on a first past the post basis; confirmations will be sent via email on the evening of the deadline's expiry, except in the rare event of a last-minute cancellation releasing a place. Once a place has been confirmed, the full dining charge will be due notwithstanding cancellation by or non-attendance of the diner, however the price will not be demanded where the released place is subsequently filled.
