Angela is a member of the Global Business Environment team, which anticipates changes in the global business environment and develops the Shell Group’s global scenarios. In addition to enhancing strategic conversation with the Shell Group of Companies, Angela has directed several ambitious public-private initiatives, aimed at using scenario-based processes to effectively frame and address global concerns, most recently
AIDS in Africa: Three Scenarios for the Future, for UNAIDS and currently The Future of Water: Navigating a Sustainable Course for the
World Business Council on Sustainable Development.
She joined Shell UK Exploration and Production in 1996, as Reputation Manager, where she focussed on transforming the capacity of the business to anticipate risks and opportunities related to social and environmental developments.
Angela brings over 20 years of analytical, management, consultancy and leadership experience relating to corporate responsibility, environmental management and sustainable development, honed in a range of organisations and international bodies, including British Gas and the University of East Anglia. Prior to joining the Shell Group, Angela was the Director of Research, Jackson Environment Institute, University College London.
Angela is married, with two young children and holds a doctorate in physics.
