| Current Position: Senior Fellow for South Asia, International Institute for Strategic Studies | Speaking in: Fifth Week, Trinity 2008 Speaking on: India's Rise: Security Challenges and Foreign Policy Options (click here for the full Termcard) | Mr Rahul Roy-Chaudhury is the Senior Fellow for South Asia at the International Institute for Strategic Studies, where he manages its South Asia programme. Earlier, he served in the National Security Council Secretariat in the Prime Minister's Office in India. Prior to his official appointment, he was on the faculty of the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses in New Delhi. He has also been a Senior Research Fellow at the International Policy Institute at King's College, London. He is on the visiting faculty of the National Defence College and the Foreign Service Institute (New Delhi), and the College of Naval Warfare (Mumbai). He is the research supervisor for South Asia for the Royal College of Defence Studies, London. In 1996–2000, he was the Indian representative to the ‘Maritime Cooperation Working Group’ of the Council for Security Cooperation in the Asia Pacific.
